Formula DRIFT Enters Evergreen Speedway
Evergreen Speedway is the oldest track on the circuit and was originally built as a horse-racing track. Located in Monroe, WA, Evergreen Speedway is only a short distance from Seattle.
The Pacific Northwest fans are some of the most die-hard drift fans in the nation. The energy and excitement is often compared to that of Irwindale and the original “House of Drift.” The event’s headline moniker, “Throwdown,” lives up to its name as drivers push their vehicles to the limits of the track’s banking and tight transitions through the course resulting in one of the most exciting action-packed events of the season.

Hamilton wins XDC Seattle while Marstanovic takes XDC Western Division Championship
August 17, 2011 (Tustin, Calif.) – Nate Hamilton broke through to take his first victory in the final round of the Xtreme Drift Circuit Western Division Championship on Saturday at PGP Motorsports Park.
The Consolation Round would feature two local drivers, with Mike Phillips outdueling Logan Noel for the final spot on the podium. At the end of the day, Hamilton was awarded $3000, Wilkerson $2500, Phillips $1000, and Noel $500 from the XDC.
Meanwhile, when he advanced to the Great Eight, George Marstanovic clinched the XDC Western Division championship – the first drifting championship for the Flagstaff, Ariz. Based driver. The championship means Marstanovic took home $3000, with runner-up Chelsea DeNofa awarded $1000 and third place Will Parsons earning $500.
Hamilton, the second qualifier, defeated Erich Hagen in the first round, Victor Moore in the second, and Noel in the Final four to meet Wilkerson. Wilkerson, who was the top qualifier, defeated Kory Keezer in the first round, Marstanovic in the second, and Phillips in the third.
The much anticipated final between the two top qualifiers ended when the differential in Wilkerson’s car failed, handing the victory to Hamilton.
“We had an incredible weekend out at XDC Seattle,” said Hamilton. “After breaking our differential during Saturday morning practice, we worked hard as a team and got the NOS ENERGY DRINK K-Sport 240SX back on track in time to land the 2nd place qualifying position! The car felt great all day as we worked our way through the ladder, all the way to a first place finish! I just want to thank the whole team for their hard work!”
XDC will next field their first event in Canada, at the St. Eustache Autodrome just outside of Montreal, Quebec on September 4-5. The XDC International event will feature a total event payout of $13,400 with $5000 going to the winner of the event.
